KS1/2 Teacher Required from September 2021.

Due to the expansion of one of our schools, we will be able to open a new class in September.  This class will bridge  KS1 and KS2 and will be full time and fixed term for a year initially , although we hope to extend the role if numbers continue to grow.  Initially based at Parkham,  staff are at times, required to work across the Federation, depending on the appointee’s strengths.

 Experience and expertise in delivering and developing high quality maths  and literacy through a stimulating and engaging connected theme approach would be an advantage, as would an understanding of  the growth mind set and Talk for Writing approaches. We are look for an experienced teacher  or one  who might be in the early stages of their career but has significant strengths in understanding children with additional needs, including speech and language, ASC and ADHD as well as a  particular subject areas such as music.

                                    Early Years Teaching Assistant required for September 2021

 

 we are looking for an  experience Teaching Assistant  to work alongside our Early Years Teacher and Foundation Stage Practitioner in a unit that caterers for rising 3 to 6 year olds. Ideally you will have had previous experience of working in an early years setting and be able to undertake a range of  responsibilities, supporting learning across the provision under the direction of the class teacher.  A knowledge of Jolly phonics or letters and sounds would be an advantage as is an understanding of the growth mindset and a range of additional needs.  

 

You will be forward thinking and enthusiastic about early years in relation to the education of young children and enjoy working as part of a team. This position is fixed term for two terms starting in September 2021, as  it is covering the secondment of the current post holder to another post.  There is the possibility that this will be extended and that further hours will be available

Level 3 (Grade D) Teaching assistant required for September 2021

We are looking for  a dedicated and hardworking individual who has  experience of supporting children (EYFS to Y6) in class, in small groups, 1:1 some with  challenging special educational needs as well as occasionally  supervising (under guidance) the whole class when the teacher is absent.  Initially based at Buckland Brewer, you could be asked to work in either school so flexibility is essential as is an ability to contribute to the wider life of the school. 

 

A good understanding of a range of additional needs such autism, attachment disorder, speech and language delay as well as a high level of emotional resilience will be an advantage as will the ability to build positive relationships with children using the relational and PACE approach .
