The schools within the Flying Start Federation as from 1 January 2017 are foundation members of the ACCT and we have been working with our Foundation and Partner Schools : Appledore Primary, Instow Primary, Northam Federation, St Georges' Infant Northam, St Margarets' Junior Northam, St Mary’s Primary Bideford and Woolsery Primary.
So far this year the trust has provided the children with opportunities for school council children to take part in an Anti-Bullying workshop and for children to take part in Socrates enrichment workshops.
Our teachers have been able to spend time with other trust teachers moderating and sharing literacy and numeracy work.
Our Trust partners are the University of St Mark and St John, Mole Valley Farmers, the Atlantic Racquet Centre, RHS Rosemoor, Northam Care Trust, Devon County Council and the Diocese of Exeter.
As a member of a Co-operative Trust, our work is underpinned by the Co-operative Values and Ethics
Values: Democracy, Equality, Equity, Solidarity, Self- help & self – responsibility
Ethics: Openness Honesty Social responsibility Caring for Others
Membership to the Atlantic Coast Co-operative Trust
We are currently working as a Trust to develop a strong membership based on our family members , parents and carers , our learners , our staff and governance team and our local community groups and individuals who work with our schools.
Membership is free; it requires no time commitment from you – other than the freedom to offer your opinion. Membership gives people a say, a voice and a feeling of ownership and we hope that you will all be happy to be seen as members of the school cooperative trust.
